Since opening for coworking in 2009, co.up has been providing space for free to groups from our community who organise various knowledge and skill-sharing events, like meetups, user groups, peer-to-peer learning groups, coding workshops, game jams, etc. All that we ask is that the events hosted remain financially accessible to everyone (ie. do *not* have an entrance fee) and are open to everyone interested. We list them all on our Events Calendar.
We also want to support people in underrepresented groups in tech by offering a number of discounted memberships for women, B_POC, queer/trans people, & people affected by classism. Please send an email to email@example.com to arrange a time to come by to look at the space & talk about the details.
It has been a matter of principle for us to support these initiatives to encourage skill-sharing and community-building, work towards closing the gender/race gap in IT, and help the thousands of people who come through our doors to grow personally and professionally, as well as find new friends and collaborators. We aim to create an inclusive space and take our Code of Conduct seriously, expecting the same of everyone who is in the space.
You Can Help!
Because we don’t charge event organisers for using the space, there are a few ways you can help us pay the rent and keep co.up free and open:
- Buy a few of the drinks in our refrigerators (2€ per bottle) when coming to visit or attending an event
- Sign up for one of our Support Memberships, which means paying a small monthly amount. The 10€ membership includes a free day pass each month so you can come cowork with us!
- Sign up for a company or individual support membership below. Write to firstname.lastname@example.org if you have questions or want to pay a different amount.
- Make a donation in the space by throwing a few coins or banknotes in our donation jar or bowls of change for drinks
