About Co.up Community Event Space
Co.up is a Community Event Space. We provide event and workshop spaces for open and free events in the local tech and creative scene.
Our space is several rooms with a total of 360sqm, located on the 3rd and 5th floor of a classic Berlin factory building. It is divided into different areas: two rooms and one lounge/bar area in the loft-style office upstairs and a larger room/event space downstairs. We also have two smaller meeting rooms that can be used for workshops and learning groups.
co.up was open for coworking from 2009 until the autumn of 2017, with hundreds of coworkers and meetup attendees having come through our doors in that time. We offered flexible workspaces, which meant that you could grab any spot that was free (whether a sitting or standing desk, the couch, or wherever you wish), plug in your laptop, and get to work. We provided the necessary infrastructure like power, wi-fi, laser printer, scanner, fax, cold & hot drinks, as well as nice company for lunch breaks and peer-to-peer support for work-related questions. Community is what gave co.up such a long, great run!
We host meetups and other community-building events in our 3rd floor space. Have a look at our events calendar ( bit.ly/CoUpCalendar ) for more information. All events listed in the calendar are free of charge and open for everyone to join (though please click on the events themselves as some organisers ask for prior registration due to space capacity).

Our History: Kickstarting Coworking in Berlin
Co.up was amongst the first coworking spaces in Berlin, and until today is at the heart of both the local coworking scene and the global coworking movement. The combination of infrastructure and people is what makes coworking better than working from home, a cafe or even an old-school office. We always worked towards providing the best of all worlds, and over the years, countless people found a coworking home at co.up and contributed to our community. However with the end of 2017, the coworking section of our space remains closed – it now is the home of the growing Cobot team, which works on building the best software to manage – of course! – coworking spaces! Our rooms still remain open for the local community. Every evening and on the weekends, various meetups, workshops and learning groups are using our event space and meeting rooms.

To visit us during the day, go through the big metal gate to the left of Adalbertstr. 7, straight to the far end of the courtyard, and in the first tunnel to your right. Ring the doorbell marked "co.up Coworking UG" and come up to the 5th floor space to talk to Claire from the co.up team. Ring at "co.up 3.OG" when attending evening/weekend events in the 3rd floor space.
If you are attending an evening/weekend meetup, you may find the big gate closed. In that case, go back in the direction of Kottbusser Tor to the small gate at Adalbertstr. 5-6. Reach through the bars to turn the handle of the small door-like gate, and make your way straight through the tunnel, left through a second tunnel and then straight past the bike rack until you see the door of our building, across from the mailboxes. If the gate is locked, get in touch with your event organizer!
If you need to use the elevator, please send an email to email@example.com so we can arrange to pick you up from the ground floor. We're very sorry to say our bathrooms are not accessible, but there are a few accessible bathrooms nearby.
